Tourism and docks

Cruise passengers and port calls by season, who owns and runs each dock, and the passenger tax money the State shares with local governments.

Cruise passengers and port calls

Counts by calendar season. A port call is one ship's visit. Passengers and port calls have separate charts because they are measured on very different scales.

Docks

Cruise berths, who owns each one, and who operates it. Owner and operator can differ: a private company may run a publicly owned berth, or build its own on leased land.

Passenger tax shares

The State collects a tax on each cruise passenger and shares part of it with port communities. State law limits what the money may be spent on. The guide explains in more detail.
